Rob is hard-wired for his role.

Rob’s natural gifts are generating ideas, sifting through those ideas by understanding the outcome of each, uniquely understanding people, a love of learning, and pursuing excellence by making the most of any situation. Two decades of marketing experience have turned these natural abilities into hardcore strengths and together they keep Rob at the top of the marketing strategy game. Rob is at his best brainstorming with clients and determining new and unique ways to reach their goals. Rob elaborates, “A lot of people spend their careers operating at high efficiency within the box, I’m effective at defining the box.”

After 15 years of turning around restaurant brands, Rob applies his talents in a multitude of industries where branding is important but not often thought of. “I believe that marketing is more important than advertising, and over the years I have developed systems in product development and pricing that have showed real results.” Recently, Rob has led communications/branding projects in publishing, healthcare, and not-for-profit.

In a 20 year career that started with bank marketing, then advertising agencies, then to restaurants where he worked for some of the best known brands in the industry, Rob has produced results. When he took the reigns as the head of marketing for a steakhouse chain Rob repositioned the brand, overhauled the marketing, produced 14 straight quarters of 4% or better same-store sales growth and grew the stock from $9 to $30. He then went on to turnaround sales at two other restaurant companies.

His work at American Golf, the largest golf course management company in the world, culminated in a 27-1 ROI on pay-per-click advertising and set the table for a divesture by the investment bank. Rob continues to be one of the foremost authorities on restaurant pricing and is an in-demand speaker at industry functions.

Off the field, Rob puts his team-building expertise to use by coaching his son’s flag football team. They have played in the city championship game the last two years, winning once.
